These fun, easy to make Fireworks Blondies are the perfect treat for your patriotic celebration. These delicious little bars transport well. Add M&Ms, sprinkles, red, white, blue jimmies or stars to customize your Independence Day dessert.

Fireworks Blondies Recipe

Blondie bars are some of the easiest sweets you can make. Using a basic blondie bar recipe you can dress up this wonderful treat to make nearly any holiday more festive.

Just about anyone can make blondies. If you can read a recipe, follow direction, and mix, you are golden!

Fireworks Blondies Notes:

● Always use parchment paper when baking as wax paper might burn.

● You can use sprinkles by themselves, or mix red, white, and blue sprinkles with star-shaped sprinkles. If you can find flag sprinkles, those would be cute too!

Fireworks Blondies Ingredients:

● ½ cup Butter
● One cup Light Brown Sugar
● 1 large Egg
● 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
● 1½ cups All-Purpose Flour
● 1 tsp Baking Powder
● ½ cup Red, White, and Blue M&Ms
● ½ cup Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles

Fireworks Blondies Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 8″x8″ pan with parchment paper.
2. Place ½ cup butter in a large, microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds or until just melted.

3. Add 1 cup light brown sugar, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix it very well till smooth.

4. Add 1½ cups flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder and fold it in.

5. Remove and reserve a tablespoon of M&Ms from the ½ cup and also remove and reserve a teaspoon of sprinkles from that ½ cup to decorate the top.
6. Add the remaining M&Ms and the sprinkles to the batter and fold it in.
7. The batter will be very thick and fudgy.

8. Pour the batter into the prepared 8″x8″ pan and smooth it out with a spatula.
9. Place the reserved M&Ms and sprinkles on top the batter and press slightly to adhere.

10. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated 350° oven.

11. Allow baked blondies to cool for 20 minutes on top of the stove or a wire rack, and then cut into bars.

12. Serve immediately or store the fireworks blondies in an air tight container.
